Communication

American Telephone & Telegraph... Digital ID: 1652482. New York Public LibraryWhen it comes to communicating, I prefer the old fashioned way. In my opinion, nothing can replace a handwritten letter received in the mail. And I’d almost always rather talk to someone in person than over the phone or by email. I don’t feel like this puts me behind the times. I’m an avid cell phone-touting, gmail-using, web-browsing girl. And I admit, in today’s hectic world it usually takes an email to ever get through to someone. But my one complaint with today’s communication world is text messaging. I hate it. Sure, it’s convenient. But does anyone else out there find it extremely annoying? It seems like I can’t carry on a decent conversation anymore without the other person receiving, reading, and responding to a text in the middle of it. And I think it’s rude for people with unlimited texting to assume that I want their texts when I’m paying for them individually. I’d actually prefer a phone call, thank you very much. I found this hilarious video and I think it makes my point pretty well.
